When it comes to weather information from Lake Huron, what matters most to you?
Wave height? Wind direction? Water temperature? Live cameras?
This listening session will help us serve the community better by delivering on what you want most. Please come share your input.
The Great Lakes Observing System is partnering with Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary to host a listening session with the goal of gaining valuable community input regarding future weather observing assets that will be placed in Lake Huron.
A primary goal at GLOS is to enhance the collection, dissemination, and utilization of actionable data, information, and services related to coastal resiliency, coastal frontline communities, the marine environment, aquatic life and ecosystems. We want to host this listening session with TBNMS staff and community members to identify their observing requirements within the Sanctuary.
The Great Lakes Observing System is working to contribute reliable data that meets stakeholder and scientific needs.
The input session will happen at the Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Center from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, October 17th and there will be refreshments as well. Please stop in whenever you can.
